My First Dollhouse
I have just finished making my first dollhouse. It is THE ORCHID dollhouse from CORONA CONCEPTS. I decided to leave the house unpainted, for a vintage look. The rich light and dark walnut varnish bring out the beauty of the natural wood grain. A soft dusting of snow on the roof, icicles on the ledge and frosted windows bring to mind the first call of winter. The white wintery blossoms and the potted evergreens lend a lively air to the victorian dollhouse.

Hi , Your blog is very nice ..
How cool is your house! I have an Orchid that I am trying to finish like Tracy Topps. I am not going to do the roof like hers though, I am now going to copy yours! I love the icicles! How did you make them?
I used a glue gun to create the icicles. I sprayed the roof with fake snow in a can and sealed it with spray laquer.
Very cool way to do the Greenleaf Orchid. It's one of my favorite kits and I would love to do something like this when I get one.Have you done any scratch builds or just kits? Very creative!
Kat57: have done only kits :)
