The Gilbert Mansion: Have you seen this house?
Kathleen Gilbert, the creator of the Gilbert Mansion, has been trying to track down this dollhouse. If you have seen it anywhere, please contact her at kathleengilbe62@hotmail.com
This grand mansion by Kathleen Gilbert was last spotted on eBay in 2007. It is a mammoth of a dollhouse, four stories high and consisting of 33 rooms. The Gilbert Mansion is almost 7 ft. long, by over 6 ft. tall, and about 30 in. wide.
The music and billiard club room has amazing wood paneling up to within a foot of the ceiling, with plaster-formed "marble" relief at the uppermost foot. This room was designed around a baby grand piano. This rooms French doors and long windows look out to another wrap around porch. This room also features the beautiful sliding doors that are incredibly impressive!
The exterior design was taken from several European and Canadian manors and castles; the roof is "verdigris" "copper" standing seam metal, just like the parliament buildings in Ottawa. The exterior walls are weathered limestone, with some relief work.

Hello Kathleen,
I received your daughter's message on my facebook. I indeed own your lovely dollhouse and in the process of lighting and fixing it up to display my collection of miniatures I have collected over the years. I gave your daughter my email and would find it a pleasure to speak with you about your lovely work.
Always,
Jeanette Fruge

This dollhouse is so impressive! Every room has a very nice design and even the small detail of it is really amazing.
I was touched by your enthusiasm. I remember when I was a child I used to play with these doll houses and now I use it as a subject for my art.
Nice Dollhouse!
This is such an amazing dollhouse. Everything is so intricate, I just love all of the baby doll furniture. I wish I could own something as beautiful. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
I am totally in love with the look of this doll house. I have been collecting doll houses for years and have never seen anything like this. If I ever find any wooden doll houses like this one. I will definitely be adding it to my collection. Thanks for sharing!
Wow! what a great doll house. Looks like a real house. Even the things inside it were very realistic and detailed. I can say that even a real man wants to live inside it.
Wow ...!! Is a great house! Fantastic!! Hugs
The attention to detail and realism, it's really a work of art! This just might get into a museum as the years go by. Kudos to the one who made this!
It can be difficult to remember when looking at these photographs that you are actually seeing a miniature.
There are some models that use smaller or larger scales. You can use that, too, if you deem it preferable for any reason.
Trabajos excelentes y de muy buen gusto. Me atrevo a preguntarle sobre cómo ha hecho los bloques de piedra de la fachada. Muchas gracias de antemano.
Ohhh Great. I liked.
Thanks
